This large globe shaped, straw coloured bulb is very good for exhibition and for the kitchen. It has a mild flavour and will store for a few months. Root vegetables boast a host of colours and flavours and include carrots, radish, horseradish, sweet potato, turnip and beetroot. Their low rate of metabolism allows for a relatively long postharvest life. Thanks to their high water content, they are key ingredients for a low fat diet. This wholefood is well suited for all cooking options: grilling, mashing, roasting, frying and even in soups. Don't skimp on sunshine when growing them!
