Hopes high for Late Flowering Show

Organisers at the Beverley & District Chrysanthemum Society have high hopes for next week's Late Flower & Vegetable Show.

Record entries, along with some first-time exhibitors at September's Early Flowering Show, bode well for the event to be held on Sunday November 4th at the Cherry Lane Garden Centre at Tickton where preparations are also in hand for a busy festive season.

"Footfall at our last show at Tickton was good and could have been even higher had it not be so hot that day!" reflects spokesman Geoff Gooding.

"No such luck with the sun next week probably, but we know that the Late show in November is always better supported by exhibitors so we are looking forward to another great day at Cherry Lane."

More festive fun at Tickton

With the Tickton store's Christmas department now open for business, gardeners can also seize the chance to size up stocking fillers of all sizes on the day.

The centre sells a wide range of plants, garden furniture, garden sheds, plant products, and seeds.

Further festive fun to look forward to at Cherry Lane Tickton includes a trip to Santa's Grotto, open every weekend in December up to and including Christmas Eve.

The kitchen elves have been busy, too.

In addition to home-baked paninis and sandwiches to cream teas, the centre's 100-seater restaurant is also serving Christmas lunches every day from November 26th in addition to two very special Breakfasts with Santa on Sunday December 9th and 16th.

The Beverley & District Chrysanthemum Society Late Flowering Show is being held on Sunday November 4th at Cherry Lane Garden Centre, Hull Bridge Road, Tickton, Beverley.
